Babies First "Graduation" July 31, 2013

Grandma and Three Choo Choo-ing. The Caboose has had it!
Eddie in the Sink.
Gigi Chillaxin' in the Choo Choo Wagon
We enjoyed visiting with Auntie-Grammie Kay and Uncle-Grandpa Wayne.
This pretty much shows how it was. Go Irish!

At their 1 year check in visit with their awesome Physical Therapist Kathy and the Early Intervention program, the girls "graduated" out of the program as they are achieving in all areas at an age appropriate level. Mr. Eddie may continue for a little bit longer down in San Mateo County, but is also doing very well. Great Work babies! Thank you Kathy, we will miss you!

After a year of ping pong nick names (Lil Bit, Fina, Lizzie...), we think Serafina finally has a short name that will stick... Nina! She was named after my Grandmother Serafina who was also called Nina by the family, so there we go. Nina in her first sink bath.
We are all SO ready for the new house!
Kay and Nina
Everyone can now pick up finger foods like Puffs (have you tasted those things? they may be organic but - YUK!), O's and Frozen Waffles. We're still working on sippy cups, but now that two are holding their own bottles it is making life easier.

*On the Home Updating Front*
Floors have been put down in the Living Room, Master & Most of the Kitchen. They are pretty fabulous.
Fireplace painted, lighting updated. There are floors under that cardboard!
Lights started out 90's shiny brass. Seriously couldn't live with them.
They ended up Brushed Nickel. Will hold us over until we find ones we love.

Granite slabs have been reserved and are ready for fabrication. Yay!
I can't believe this is our last full week in Petaluma.
We will really miss it here but are looking forward to our new adventure.

HMB House Updating... Fun with Food. July 22, 2013

Lots going on with us this week.

A BIG Thank You to Nonni Lynda for holding down the fort with the kiddos!
Eddie & Gigi are working toward holding their own bottles- a Huge help. Very Exciting.

The Trio has been loving eating food from their Teething Ring Bags.

Eddie is babbling more these days and his balance is getting quite good he can stand unassisted for a second or two. He can feed himself O's and frozen waffle quarters very well.

Gigi still says a lot of Gagaga or Dadada and zooms at crawling. She can feed herself the occasional O or waffle quarter.

Serafina still is saying A-Bababa pretty much all day and zooming at crawling. She is great at eating O's and waffles but sees no reason to feed herself. She prefers to point at the food, thank you very much.

Bastille Day Party: July 14, 2013

Baby's First Bastille Day!
Gigi, Serafina & Eddie enjoyed the festivities of Bastille Day and Uncle Dre's Birthday party yesterday.
Vive La France!

Photos by: Uncle Matt DeClaire - THANK YOU!
We weren't able to stay for the canon firing, as the kiddo's couldn't hold off on nap time that long. Maybe next year! Great party Auntie Des. It was so nice to spend time with friends and adorable RP Little Ones (just ours are in these pics but it was quite a gathering of littles).

All survived the signing for the new house last week and we have keys (This is how different we are from the last owners: the keys honestly have Ghost Flames on them. Yep.).
We were certainly a spectacle at both the title company and later on the lawn of Burlingame City Hall for lunch and crawling time. But the car ride home was Quiet - there is hope yet for car trips as long as they are only during regularly scheduled nap times.

Updates are already chugging along at the new house and before we move in the face lift will be complete. It really wouldn't be a true Barbour home if we didn't make some changes.

More pics from First Birthday Weekend. Cake Smash!! Thanks to Sift Cupcakes for the cute tasty cakes. Babies first sugar (certainly not organic, but they lived) and last for a long time.
We hear Uncle Clark has video of the smash. Maybe that will be coming soon .

And one from their actual Birthday.

1 Year Old! July 8, 2013

The Babies Aren't Babies Anymore!
Gigi, Serafina & Eddie turned one year old July 8th.

On Sunday we celebrated their Birthday with a wonderful BBQ and cake smash with friends and family. Thank you so much to all who attended. It was a busy weekend to have it, so we missed a few people who we know would have loved to join in - maybe next year.

We took photos but if you took additional ones and are up for sharing with us, we would love to see them!

We'll put a separate post up for cake smash.

It has been an AMAZING first year with so many milestones and such Healthy Babies!

One Year Check Up Stats:
Serafina: 18 lbs 9.2oz & 28in tall (At Birth 1.75lbs, length 13 1/2 in)
Gigi: 22 lbs 9.6oz & 29in tall (At Birth 2.1lbs, length 14in)
Eddie: 23lbs 12 oz & 29in tall (At Birth 2.2lbs, length 15in)

We've had some hot weather and the babies love their pool. Eddie especially loves splashing and doesn't mind if the water is cold.

Tissue paper was a big hit with the kiddos.

Dr. Hamann has been the Best Pediatrician, we will miss him. He is very pleased with the kiddos. We can feed them absolutely anything now: honey, strawberries, nut butters... and No More Formula!!

Flash back photos of the babies during their first week July 2012.
